Gradation in writing task from primary level

I selected GRADATION blog for primary level from 1 - 5 class books of Karnataka state. 

In this blog I compared writing skill development activities from class 1 to class 5. My view will be on comparing upgradation of content from beginning level to next levels. First, I took first class book of KT, In the beginning the activity starts with alphabet level, and very simple to complete. This is pleasing and making young learners to enjoy their learning. 

Then it graded to identify and circle the beginning letters, which is the very opt step to go with.

I wish to move to assessment part where we can see the overall competency and in this assessment part I really felt more delighted. Because of the activites which can make the children answer their own with the help of known concept (I.e.numbers ) to unknown new words.

Now I move towards class 2 textbook, where we can see more activity based discourses. In  class 2 task, it starts with joining prefix and suffix to make meaningful words.

 Next it deals with word wheel concept in which words can be constructed using same prefix. It is slightly complicated and graded from the first one.

The activities then developed to creative writing field. It is one of the needed activity which give more emphasis on creative writing.

There is word game category activites which are brainstorming and also language development tools. This is a well graded task to conclude the class 2.

Its place for class 3, after words here it starts with sentence formation. This shows a well planned gradation  between the next class levels. 

This activity should be done properly only after getting prompt meaning of the coloumns. Mere practice should be given before this type of activities.

The next phase of creative writing is writing own sentences and for that this activity ia more helpful.

These activities are more playful and definitely it will make participants to learn, practise and joy.

Next is class 4, in this class the gradation reaches the next level that is composing paragraph from sentences using clues. Now, children are able to make their own passages too.

On the next step, paragraph or letter writing discourse is given without clues and it makes children more energetic towards passage completion.

Then I can compare the top most primary level, class 5. For my comparison on gradation. I felt class 5 is not much graded then fourth standard. You can this activity to understand my opinions.

Here you can see, from fourth class student begin to write passage without clues but here picture clues given for rebus stories this seems not upgraded. But it also useful for slow bloomers, in this case we can take it.

self introduction is given in assessment part. Overall gradation is very effective and upgradation is see through. My view is to alter few activites in fifth class. Otherwise, gradation in primary level of Karnataka state books are tremendous. Thank you for this wonderful chance to wander through other state books and getting knowledge on various activities.
